About IT Cell:

The Information Technology (IT) Cell plays a vital role in maintaining and strengthening the digital infrastructure of AIIMS Mangalagiri. The Cell provides comprehensive IT support to various departments and administrative sections of the Institute, ensuring reliable connectivity, efficient digital services and uninterrupted technology-enabled operations.

Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Website Management: Management, maintenance and regular updating of the Institute website, including events, faculty profiles, departmental information, notices, recruitment and tenders.
  • Email and Google Workspace: Management of institutional email services and Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals, including Google Classroom and Google Meet.
  • Networking and Internet: Maintenance and troubleshooting of internet connectivity, network switches, access points and institutional networking infrastructure.
  • Computer and Peripheral Support: Technical assistance and troubleshooting of computers, printers, scanners and other IT equipment across the Institute.
  • Video Conferencing and PA Systems: Technical support for video conferences, meetings, conferences, celebrations and public address systems.
  • PACS Server Support: Regular technical support and coordination for Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) servers.
  • IT Infrastructure and Security: Support for IT security audits, vulnerability remediation and secure functioning of the Institute’s IT infrastructure.
  • Digital Portals and Applications: Design, development and maintenance of online portals and digital applications for institutional activities.
  • IBS and EPBX Coordination: Coordination with the Crest Digital team for IBS setup improvements and the Coral team for EPBX and telephone infrastructure support.
  • Medical Equipment Networking: Technical assistance in connecting new medical equipment and devices to the Institute network.
  • Internet Service Coordination: Regular coordination with BSNL and NKN to ensure reliable and uninterrupted internet connectivity.
  • Institutional Technical Support: IT assistance for academic, clinical, administrative and other institutional activities.

Major Initiatives and Activities:

  • Early adoption of Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals, formerly known as G Suite for Education, in 2018, enabling institutional email, Google Classroom and Google Meet services.
  • Facilitated a smooth transition to online teaching and digital collaboration through video conferencing.
  • Provided IT support for the 2nd Convocation held on 17 February 2026.
  • Designed and developed the Faculty Recruitment Portal for 2025-26.
  • Designed and developed the B.Sc. EMT/HTM Admission Portal for 2025-26.
  • Provided technical support during the IT Security Audit and addressed identified vulnerabilities.
  • Supported the integration of new medical equipment with the Institute network.
  • Regularly coordinated with Crest Digital for IBS setup improvements and with the Coral team for EPBX and telephone infrastructure support.
