ORTHOPAEDICS



The Department of Orthopaedics was established in the month of March 2019. It started OPD services on 12th March 2019. The department faculty currently comprises of one Additional Professor, one Associate Professor, three Assistant Professors and one Senior resident. The faculty are highly skilled, specialised in their respective fields and dedicated to their work.

The Orthopaedic outpatient clinic provides facilities which include, injections for intraarticular and tendon pathologies,  application of corrective plasters for  clubfoot, plaster slab and cast application for fractures and other minor procedures.

Department aims to provide world class patient centric care in all the specialities of Orthopaedics, with continuous orthopaedic education and the development of better treatments through innovation and research.

DEPARTMENTAL VISION

To become a department of excellence by providing the best Orthopaedic care to patients from across the country and to provide quality training to both the undergraduates and post graduates. 

Department goals for next five years:
  • To start speciality clinics in Arthroscopy and sports Medicine, Arthroplasty, Pediatric Orthopaedics, Spine Surgery, Foot and Ankle Surgery, Hand Surgery, Musculoskeletal TB clinic, Shoulder Clinic, Osteoporosis clinic, Geriatric clinic and Clubfoot clinic
  • To conduct webinar, CME’s, Conferences and workshops to promote knowledge sharing.
  • Initiate and sustain research projects in basic sciences and advanced clinical Orthopaedics.
  • Community outreach and Screening for conditions like Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis and scoliosis in school children.
  • To maintain and promote patient safety and diagnostic safety.
