Highlights of the Department
Urology is a super-speciality branch to treat diseases of kidneys, ureter, bladder, prostate, penis, testes. The department offers services like PCNL, RIRS and ESWL for renal stones, URSL for ureteric stones, CLT for vesical stones. TURP, HOLEP for prostate problems. Other services like General urology, Urethral reconstructive procedures, Uro-oncology, Uro-gynaecology, Paediatric urology, Andrology, Emergency services, Vascular reconstruction procedures, Transplant services for chronic kidney patients.
The Urology department is on the 4th floor of the OPD building. The department was established on October 18, 2021. On October 25,2021, department launched its 1st OPD service. Since then, the OPD has been open six days a week from Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm and Saturday half day from 8.30am to 1.00pm.
The vision is to provide comprehensive care to OPD and IPD patients and establishing the department as a center of excellence for urological training and research.
