Highlights of the Department
The department started seeing outpatients from 10/09/2021. Since then many patients have benefitted from various procedures including brachial plexus reconstruction, nerve repairs, tendon transfers, various flaps for traumatic and oncological reconstruction and aesthetic procedures like fat grafting.
Vision: The aim is to start microvascular and super microvascular surgery in near future. In addition, we would like to start a separate burns care centre for acute burns.
The Department also plans to start postdoctoral program(MCh) in Burns & Plastic surgery and fellowship program in microvascular surgery with further growth in manpower and infrastructure.
The Department will organize CMEs, Certificate courses and conferences not only for junior doctors and surgeons in adjoining areas, but also for training of nursing personnel in areas like stoma care and wound care.
The department plans to organise public awareness programs related to burns prevention, transgenders, cleft lip and palate, wound care and management and
